PURPOSE:To make effective torque-giving compatible with electric power saving by determining the delay time from giving a command of increasing torque to realizing of increasing torque based on the ignition timing, and controlling the time of giving torque based on a specified ignition timing, with which torque increasing is realized. CONSTITUTION:A generator-motor 3 having two functions of a generator and an electric motor is connected to the crankshaft 2 of an internal combustion engine 1 so that giving and receiving of torque to and from the motor are possible. Further, the timing of giving torque to the generator-motor 3 is determined by a timing determining means 4. In answer to the determined timing, a power control unit 5 switches between power-generating operation and electrically driving operation of the generator-motor 3. On the other hand, the ignition timing of the internal combustion engine 1 is detected by an ignition timing detecting means 7. Then, the timing determining means 4 outputs a command of giving torque to the generator-motor 3 in answer to a command of increasing torque to the internal combustion engine, and outputs a command of stopping the giving of torque in answer to the ignition timing immediately before start of increasing torque. |
