PURPOSE: To provide improvements in a binding element for an alpine ski, including a ski shoe holding jaw part supported by a main body mounted on a sole plate connected to a ski, a force-applying spring enclosed in the main body in order to elastically resist the opening movement of the jaw part which responds to an energizing force from the ski shoe, and a support plate on which the sole of the ski shoe rests. CONSTITUTION: A support plate 26 is movable for rocking movement, and connecting means 36, 43 which are sensitive to the rocking movement of the support plate connect the support plate 26 to the movable member 1 of a binding element to decrease the resistance which must be overcome for a ski shoe to be released by a jaw part, in response to rocking stresses applied to the support plate 26. |
