ACTIVATING METHOD FOR ZINC OXIDE WHISKER AND ZINC OXIDE WHISKER BY THIS METHOD AND PRODUCT HAVING ZINC OXIDE WHISKER

PURPOSE:To provide a method for activating zinc oxide whisker having a single crystal tetrapot-like three-dimentional structure in a simple method and to provide activated zinc oxide whisker and its application. CONSTITUTION:Using the zinc oxide whisker particles 7 having the single crystal tetrapot-like three-dimensional structure whose surface is activated by the photoirradiation of a fluorescent lamp 2, the change in concn. of gaseous ammonia and trimethylamine are measured, and the comparison in concn. at the part of a feeding port 5 and a discharging port 6 is illustrated, the large change in concn. is observed, and the increase in the resolving power due to the activation of the zinc oxide whisker having above structure is displayed.
