PURPOSE:To sufficiently protect each knee section of the crew by providing a easy flexible curved section which prompts the upward deformation of a bracket rear end section against external force acting on an air bag unit from below. CONSTITUTION:A bracket 5 is formed into a shape where flanges 5a are bent up at its both side peripheries in-to an U shape in cross section, and an easy flexible curved section 7 is formed at the intermediate section in the length direction of the bracket 5. The easy flexible curved section 7 formed at the intermediate section in the length direction of the bracket 5 folds the bracket 5 upward together with the both side flanges 5a, and they are piled up so as to be formed back to back. Therefore, the supporting stiffness of an air bag unit 1 can sufficiently be secured, and a structure as mentioned above can sufficiently cope with the expansion reactive force of the bag 1a at the operation time of the air bag unit 1 when a vehicle collides at its front face, and with reaction when the crew is restrained, so that roughly the upper half of a member of the crew in a front passenger's seat can be surely restrained. |
