摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound useful as a resin additive, electron sensitive material, electronic luminescent material, etc., by reacting a tris(arylamino)benzene compound with a cyclohexanone compound in the presence of a hydrogen transfer catalyst under heating. CONSTITUTION:A tris(diaryl)aminobenzene compound of formula III can be produced by reacting a tris(arylamino)benzene compound of formula I (R is H or lower alkyl) with a cyclohexanone compound of formula II (R' is H or lower alkyl) in the presence of a hydrogen transfer catalyst. The hydrogen transfer catalyst is preferably a noble metal catalyst of the group 8 of the Periodic Table, especially a palladium catalyst supported on a carrier, e.g. palladium-carbon catalyst. Since the reaction is a dehydrative condensation reaction, the produced water is preferably removed during the reaction by the azeotropic distillation with a solvent such as benzene. The reaction is preferably carried out in the presence of a cocatalyst such as acetic acid and propionic acid. It is preferable to carry out the reaction in the presence of excess phenols as a hydrogen acceptor because the cyclohexanone compound to be used as the raw material is formed by this process.
