PURPOSE:To enhance color forming properties, humidity resistance and light fastness, in a pressure-sensitive recording material utilizing the color forming reaction of a basic dye and a coupler, by together using at least one specific diarylmethane dye being the basic dye and at least one indole compd. CONSTITUTION:In a pressure-sensitive recording material having good desensitizing properties and excellent in color forming properties and forming a developed color image excellent in light fastness and humidity resistance, at least one diarylmethane compd. represented by formula I being a basic dye and at least one indole compd represented by formula II are together used. In the formulae I and II, R1-R4 are an alkyl a group or an alkoxyalkyl group, R5 and R6 are a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an alkoxyalkyl group, R7 is an alkoxyalkyl group or an alkyl group, R12 and R13 are an alkyl group or an alkoxyalkyl group, R14 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, R15 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or a phenyl group, R16 and R17 are a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group and R18 is an alkyl group or an alkoxyalkyl group. |
