<p>PURPOSE:To push up a bottom plate by proper pushing up force according to the weight of sheets mounted on the bottom plate inside a sheet storage container and to prevent occurrence of trouble such as an error in paper feeding and overlap feeding. CONSTITUTION:In a sheet storage container 50, pressing member installing parts 65-70, to which a pressing member 60 is installed, are classified into six stages according to variety of a sheet size and weight and are arranged in proper positions (a)-(f). For example, in feeding a B5 sheet, which is light in weight per unit volume, a thin shaft 60c is inserted into a round hole while an elastic hooked part, 60b is put into a rectangular hole in the pressing member installing part 65 in the position (a), and consequently, the pressing member 60 is elastically hooked and stopped by a stopping rib 60e. Then, an operating member is rotated by a pressing part, 60a and an energizing spring is slightly extended backward when the sheet storage container 50 is inserted, and a pushing up arm is rotated by energizing force suitable for a light and small sheet, so that a bottom plate is pushed up by proper pushing up force corresponding to carrying weight.</p> |
