<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the number of issues of operator intervention messages on the sheet exhaustion of hoppers and the full of stackers. CONSTITUTION:The sheet sizes and the empty/full states of sheets set on hoppers 8 and stackers 9 are stored in a control table 11 via a hopper/stacker information collection section 6 and a control information storage section 7, and the information of the hoppers and stackers grouped for each same sheet size is stored in the table 11 via an upper system 1, a printing data reception section 2, and a grouping information section 10. The hoppers and stackers in the group of the sheet size specified from the upper system 1 are automatically switched at the time of the sheet exhaustion and full during printing, and these messages are issued to an operator only when only one each is left among the prepared hoppers and stackers. The past operation states are stored, and the hopper and stacker set with the sheet size having little possibility for use in the future in view of the operation state can be replaced to the specified size when there are no hopper and stacker of the specified sheet size.</p> |
