PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition excellent in adhesivity, chemical resistance, corrosion resistance, weather resistance, oil repellency, etc., and useful for coating on metal, wood, etc., consisting of a specific fluororubber, asilane coupling agent and a solvent. CONSTITUTION:This coating composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a fluororubber obtained by copolymerizing tetrafluoroethylene with propylene at a molar ratio of 30/70 to 70/30, preferably 40/60-60/40, 0.1-20 pts.wt., preferably 0.3-10 pts.wt. of a silane coupling agent containing an alkenyl group of the formula R<1>aR<2>bSi(OR<3>)<4-a-b> [R<1> is alkenyl; R<2> and R<3> are each a (substituted) monovalent hydrocarbon group; (a) and (b) are 0<a<=3, 0<=b<3, 0<1+b<=3] and (C) a solvent dissolving or dispersing components A and B. |
