PURPOSE:To enable printing without degrading the performance of an article to be printed with irradiation energy of a laser beam by repeating operations to move galvanomirrors by as much as their min. resolving power, then to stop the mirrors and to irradiate the article with the laser for a specified period of time. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam generated by a laser oscillator 4 is reflected by the galvanomirrors 6a, 6b and the article 7 to be printed is irradiated this laser beam, by which the article is printed. The mirrors 6a, 6b are driven by a scanner driver 5 and the point la of the article 7 is irradiated with the laser beam for the prescribed period of time.,) The mirrors 6a, 6b are moved by as much as the min. resolving power of the mirrors 6a, 6b and the article is irradiated with the laser beam for the prescribed period of time. The article is irradiated with the laser beam from the point 1a up to the points 1b, 1c...1i by successively repeating this operation, by which the printing of one character is completed. Then, the irradiation quantity with the laser is controlled by changing the scan pitch and stop time of the mirrors 6a, 6b. |
