PURPOSE:To improve efficiency with which working gas is heated by using a heat accumulating disc, having a light receiving surface heated by solar light and an infrared ray lamp, and a fin group. CONSTITUTION:In the heater 7 of a Stirling engine, a heat accumulating disc 71 arranged in a bowl-form shell body 70 comprises a light receiving surface 72 to receive solar light through a heat resisting glass disc 76; and a heat transfer surface 73 positioned facing working gas. A fin group 75 is fixed to the heat transfer surface 73. The fins of the fin group 75 are respectively formed in a semicircular shape and juxtaposed approximately at equal intervals. The notches 93 and 95 of the fin group 75 are positioned facing the openings of passages 4c and 4a for working gas. The heat accumulating disc 71 is inclined based on the axis P1 of a high temperature space and inclined based on the axis P3 of the passage 4c connected to a low temperature space. Thus, working gas flowing through the passage 4c is apt to collide with the heat transfer surface 73.
