PURPOSE:To provide a welded structure that can correspond to various pump configurations by providing a circular space between the outer peripheral portion of a motor-frame outer shell and an outer jacket, and providing mounting portions for mounting mating parts at the two axial open ends of the outer jacket. CONSTITUTION:A motor-frame outer shell 24 that fits over the outer peripheral portion of a stator 27 is provided and motor-frame side plates 25, 26 are secured to the open ends of the motor-frame outer shell 24 and a can 29 is fitted over the inner peripheral portion of the stator 27 and secured to the motor-frame side plates 25, 26. An outer jacket 9 is provided which forms a circular space between it and the outer peripheral portion of the motor-frame outer shell 24 and is secured to the motor-frame outer shell 24, and mounting portions 9a, 9b for mounting mating parts and for holding a liquid to be handled are provided at the two axial open ends of the outer jacket 9, and an outlet for a lead wire for connection to power supply is provided on the peripheral portion of the outer jacket 9. Therefore, a hole can easily be bored in a finished motor and additional parts can be welded to the motor.
