<p>PURPOSE:To achieve the miniaturization and wt. reduction of a gas concentrator and to reduce the power consumption thereof by setting the diagonal line dimension ratio of the dimension in the longitudinal direction of a product gas tank to the diameter or cross-sectional area thereof to a specific value or more and packing the product gas tank with an adsorbent and connecting the inlet end of the product gas tank and the outlet end of an adsorbing cylinder by piping through a control solenoid valve. CONSTITUTION:A product gas tank 8 is constituted so that the diagonal line dimension ratio of the dimension in the longitudinal direction of the tank 8 to and, the diameter or cross-sectional area thereof is 2 or more and packed with an adsorbent and the inlet end 18 of the tank 8 and the outlet ends 14, 16 of adsorbing cylinders 5, 6 are connected by pipings through a control solenoid valve 7 and the outlet end 19 of product gas is provided to the other end of the inlet end 18. Within a range wherein the pressure of adsorbing towers 5, 6 in an adsorbing process is higher than that of the tank 8, product gas is introduced into the tank 8 toward the inlet end 18 from the outlet ends 14, 16 and, at the initial stage of the adsorbing process, the product gas is allowed to flow back from the inlet end 18 to the outlet ends 14, 16 within the range wherein the pressure of the adsorbing towers 5, 6 is lower than that of the tank 8.</p> |
