PURPOSE:To obtain a recording liquid having high printing quality, excellent in light-resistance, water-resistance and storage stability and suitable for ink-jet recording, etc., by containing an aqueous medium and a specific pigment. CONSTITUTION:This recording liquid contains (A) an aqueous medium e.g. (i) water preferably in an amount of 45-95wt.% or (ii) a water-soluble organic solvent e.g. ethylene glycol preferably in an amount of 1-50wt.%, (B) one or more kinds of pigments selected from those whose free acid is expressed by the formula [R1 is a 2-9C (substituted) alkoxy; R2 is a 1-12C alkyl or (substituted) 6-12C aryl; X is CO or SO2; R3 is H or a (substituted) phenyl, etc.; R4 is H or a 1-3C carboxyl-substituted alkyl; (l), (m) and (p) are 0, 1; (n) is 0, 2] preferably in an amount of 2-4wt.%. Further, preferably, the liquid particles of the recording liquid is ejected through a minute orifice to adhere on a material to be recorded and forms a recorded material. |
