PURPOSE:To obtain a large amount of a material coated with glassy carbon, free from adhesivity to molten metal and molten glass and exhibiting remarkable effect on the reduction of dust generation. CONSTITUTION:This material coated with glassy carbon has a glassy carbon coating layer having a thickness of <=0.1mum on the surface of a graphite substrate and contains the glassy carbon impregnated to a depth of >=200mum from the graphite substrate surface. |
