PURPOSE:To obtain a continuous filament of a calcium phosphate compound having excellent bio-compatibility and a porous calcium phosphate material made of the filament. CONSTITUTION:This process for the production of calcium phosphate filament comprises a step to prepare a solution free from precipitate by dissolving a salt containing phosphorus and calcium and a chelating agent in a solvent, a step to concentrate the solution to form a spinnable composition having a viscosity of >=100 poise, a spinning step to spin the spinnable composition and a step to bake the spun filament. |
