PURPOSE:To smoothly perform curve driving of a pipe of small diameter and prevent a break of the connecting end surface of the pipe by providing a notch in a part of a ring-shaped thrust transmitting member comprising plastic material to make stresses approximately equal over the entire surface of the member. CONSTITUTION:In order to drive a pipe of small diameter along a curve, a thrust transmitting member 1 mounted to the connecting part of a driving pipe is formed from plastic material into a ring-shape, and notches 2 are provided to adjust contact area. The notches 2 are adjusted in such a manner that the contact areas thereof are made larger in higher pressure regions and are made smaller in lower pressure regions, whereby plastic deformation is generated over the entire area of the member 1 so that thrust can be transmitted uniformly over the area of the member 1. As a result, driving in a curved area can be performed smoothly and the connecting end of a concrete driving pipe can be prevented from being broken. |
