HIGH TEMPERATURE STEAM ELECTROLYTIC CELL

PURPOSE:To obtain the high temp. steam electrolytic cell causing no short pass current by inserting an insulating material between an interconnector and an unit cell. CONSTITUTION:In the high temp. steam electrolytic cell consisting of unit electrolytic cell providing a cathode 3 on one side of an oxygen ion conductive solid electrolyte pipe 1 and an anode on the other side thereof and the oxide interconnector 4 for connecting the unit electrolytic cells in series, the insulating material 5 of the material having a thermal expansion coefficient similar to that of the interconnector 4 and the unit cell is inserted between them. In this way, the high temp. steam electrolytic cell causing no short pass current is obtained.
