The invention provides for the wake adaptation of the characteristic sectors of propeller nozzles and rudder nozzles of ships and other watercraft during varied towing, laden and unladen trips by nozzle profiles, adapted peripherally to the respective local oncoming flows and propeller thrust loads, and profile adjustments. The wake adaptation of the nozzle-inlet, nozzle-outlet and nozzle-casing sectors is preferably effected in conformity with the inner nozzle stiffeners and the connections or mounting arrangements at the hull. <IMAGE>
