Labour-intensive and time-consuming warping of warp threads and drawing-on by hand, several people being required, or the laborious transport of warp beams to distant installations for the purpose of warping and (mechanical) drawing-on are dispensed with. The warp beam consists of a square tube as a bobbin carrier, onto which bobbins already wound with warp-yarn threads are slipped. The changing of the bobbins is to be carried out by one person in a few minutes.
