PURPOSE:To simplify the molding of a rod type fiber-reinforced resin member having an arbitrary diameter by a method wherein fibers, adhered with resin for forming a bundled body having a diameter smaller than a predetermined diameter are collected and heated to a condition before curing while fibers, adhered with resin whose amount is short to form a predetermined diameter, is added continuously to heat the whole of the-bundled body until the same is cured. CONSTITUTION:Fibers 2, adhered with resin whose amount is necessary for molding a bundled body having a diameter of (L-alpha), are delivered from a delivery unit 1 while the fibers 2 are bundled in a first molding unit S1 at the uppermost stream side so as to have the diameter (L-alpha) and are heated to a condition before curing. Subsequently, fibers 2' adhered with the resin of amount (alpha) necessary for forming the bundled body having the diameter of (L-alpha) to a bundled body having a diameter of L is added continuously to the bundled body having the diameter (L-alpha) to make a bundled body having a diameter L in a final molding unit SL located at the downstream side of a first molding unit S1. Then, at the same time, the whole of the bundled body having a diameter L is heated until the same is cured whereby the fiber-reinforced resin member 5 having the diameter L can be molded. |
