PURPOSE:To replace a sleeve of a calender roll efficiently with a high degree of safety. CONSTITUTION:There are a calender machine 5 for forming a profile sheet between a calender roll and a replacing calender roll 3 and a sleeve replacing device 6 for replacing a sleeve S of the roll 3. The device 6 has a longitudially traveling tuck 7 which travels by itself on longitudinal rails 50 extending on a floor from the machine 5 in the axial direction C of the calender roll and a transversely traveling tuck 10 which travels by itself on horizontal rails 83 which are perpendicular to the rails 50. And in the tuck 7, there is provided a sleeve holder 8 which can displace a supporter 57A wherein a sleeve S1 to be newly mounted is disposed and an empty supporter 57B for holding a detached sleeve SO in such a manner that the sleeves 57A and 57B are aligned with the axial direction C. A holder 11 for holding the sleeve S and a preheater 12 for preheating the sleeve S are provided in the truck 10. |
