摘要 The surface-emitting laser diode field (100) has a multiplicity of surface-emitting laser diodes (LDs) (101a to 101l), which each contain secondary diffraction gratings (16) which are constructed with the same separation. The LDs are arranged radially on the substrate, a particular point on the substrate being the centre point of the radial arrangement, so that the secondary diffraction gratings point in the direction of the centre point. In this design, the laser-oscillation regions of mutually adjacent surface-emitting LDs are separated from each other, so that the respective surface-emitting LDs can be operated individually with high stability. As a result, if the LDs are oscillated with the same driver current, high-power laser light, consisting of a multiplicity of laser-light components from the respective LDs with the same phase and the same wavelength is radiated stably in a particular direction. If the surface-emitting LDs are oscillated with different driver currents, a composite-phase wave with a multiplicity of laser light components of the same phase and different wavelengths is emitted stably in a particular direction. <IMAGE>
