Analgesic and antiinflammatory compositions

Novel analgesic and antiinflammatory compositions are described which are used for the induction of an analgesic or antiinflammatory response, the compositions containing caffeine together with a selected, non-narcotic analgesic/non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug or a selected, narcotic analgesic or both. If caffeine is used in combination with the selected drugs, it amplifies the analgesic and/or antiinflammatory response and likewise accelerates its onset.
