<p>A video signal recording/reproducing device with which the titles of the programs recorded in video cassettes can be easily known and a desired program can be easily reproduced and recorded in another appropriate cassette through simple operation. When recording a program, a CPU (11) records identification information for identifying a video cassette on the magnetic tape and recording information, for example, the still picture data, etc., of the program indicating the contents of the program in memories (13 and 14). When reproducing programs, the CPU (11) reads out the still picture data of each program from the memories (13 and 14) and a digital signal processing circuit (15) converts the still picture data of each program into analog signals for multi-screen display and outputs the analog signals to a television receiver through an analog signal processing circuit (23) and output terminal (33). As a result, scenes of a plurality of programs recorded in a plurality of video cassettes are displayed on the television receiver.</p> |
