Traffic routing system for stationary vehicles and moving traffic with detection of the former and displays for the latter in the region of a relatively large settlement, such as a town or a trading estate, industrial estate, leisure park, shopping park (shopping centre, mall) or the like, there being provided display units, changeable in terms of location, with display panels (displays) which include a network map of the corresponding area or terrain with traffic routes, parking areas and other landmarks, subdivided into concentric rings and sectors, starting from a centre (or imaginary centre) of the area or terrain in such a manner that the display units can be set up along routes which lead from the periphery to the centre and can be connected to a central station in which the stationary vehicles are detected and which, in turn, is able to output to the display units signals which indicate in the network map the occupied state or free state of all parking areas in order to output therein, if necessary, (by means of illuminated arrows) recommendations in terms of routing, deviation or transfer. <IMAGE>
