In a device (1) for cutting hollow sections (2) to length by means of a jigsaw (3) to be guided by hand, a clamping fixture (11) for holding the hollow section is connected to a guide member (21) which has guide slots (24, 25), running in a plane on two sides opposite one another, for receiving the saw blade (4) of the jigsaw (3) and which can be placed against the hollow section to be cut to length. With this device, it is possible for a hollow section made of sheet steel to be cut accurately to size on a construction site in a short time and in a simple manner with a hand-operated implement without the tool running untrue in the process. <IMAGE>
