Device for sheltering or isolating a vehicle from the sun and bad weather. The device comprises frames (1 and 6) made of rails transversally arranged in relation to the vehicle and joined at their ends by an angle bracket (3 and 8). The rails are united to each other by a connecting beam (9), including a plate with two shafts and provided with four rollers and a hinge tube. The frames run by means of their rails on the rollers on the edge of the vehicle roof (5 and 7). A duplicate arrangement of frames (19 and 20) increases the protected surface and forms a closed shelter by swivelling. The device of the invention is particularly useful for sheltering a vehicle. It is of further use in a camper where it doubles the available surface area or in a mobile office where it can be used as a waiting-room.
