Door-lock device for a motor vehicle

A description is given of a door-lock device which is fastened, for example, in the door of a motor vehicle such that, whenever a catch of the door-lock device is moved into a half-locking position in which it is in partial engagement with a lock bolt or stop fastened for example, in the body of the vehicle, a drive device is set in motion in order to move the catch into a full-locking position in which it is in full engagement with the stop. The door-lock device contains a locking lever which is coupled to the drive device and can be moved out of a rest position into an operating position, and further contains an auxiliary rod which is coupled to the locking lever and can be moved between an engagement position, in which it is in engagement with the catch, and a release position in which it is not in engagement with the catch. The auxiliary rod is in functional engagement with the catch in order to move the latter into a full-locking position as a reaction to the movement of the locking lever into an operating position, and it is moved into the release position when a door handle provided on the door is moved. If the door handle is actuated during the period over which the catch is in the course of moving, by means of the locking lever and the auxiliary rod, by way of the drive device, from the half-locking position into the full-locking position, the auxiliary rod ... the catch ...
