The linkage includes a piston 10 connected to the throttle valve 2 and a cylinder connected to the accelerator pedal 1. During an automatic gear shifting operation the piston is displaceable relative to the cylinder by hydraulic medium under the control of solenoid valves 33, 34 operated by an electronic control in response to a gear shift signal. The cylinder (12, Figs. 2 and 3) may be mounted in a stationary housing (22). A single spring (44, Fig. 4) mounted between seats (49, 50) may bias the piston (10a) to an intermediate position in the cylinder (12a). <IMAGE> |
