PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent magnetic recording medium with which head attraction arises hardly by coating a polymer contg. perfluoroalkyl ether and the repeating unit of crosslinking molecules or a mixture composed of said polymer and lubricating agent on a ferromagnetic medium layer on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The polymer expressed by formulas I, II (k is 0 or 1, n is >=1, i is >=3 integer, J' is crosslinking molecules, for example, -S-, -NH-, -(C=O)-, -NHCOO-, etc.) or the mixture composed of such polymer as well as perfluoroalkyl ether, higher fatty acid (ester), lubricating agent such as silicone oil is coated directly on the ferromagnetic medium 2 formed on the substrate 1 such as polyester film or via a protective film 3 consisting of NiO or protective film 3 consisting of SiO2, SiC, etc. calcined after Ni-P plating to form a lubricating layer 4. The magnetic recording medium such as magnetic disk with which the attraction of the magnetic head arises hardly and is suitable for a CSS system is thus obtd. |
