Phenylacetic acid derivatives, procedure for obtaining them, and corresponding use; these derivatives are identified by their formula III, where R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are methyl, ethyl or propyl radicals, it does not matter which; or R<2> and R<3>, linked in the form represented by -(R<2> ... R<3>)-, constitute a -(CH2)n- radical with n = 4 or 5; the procedure involves the reaction of a salt of diclofenac with an alkyl haloacetate of formula X-CH2-COO-CR<1>R<2>R<3> (X triple-equals Cl or Br) in a homogeneous medium. They are used for the preparation of 2-[(2,6-dichlorophenyl- )amino]phenylacetoxyacetic acid, by treatment with acids in an anhydrous medium. The derivatives have therapeutic activity with analgesics or anti-inflammatories. <IMAGE>
