PURPOSE:To prevent inadequate discharge of an ink drop from generating by making corrosive conductive component and parts unnecessary by a method wherein a movable valve is provided which makes an ink drop discharge from an ink drop discharge opening by operating from an open state to a close state, and which is positioned in an ink passage of the ink drop discharge opening to perform opening and closing of the ink drop discharge opening. CONSTITUTION:An ink passage 5 is filled by ink pressurized with an ink supply system 8 under a state wherein a movable valve 6 closes an ink drop discharge opening 4. By applying tens to hundreds voltage V between an electrode 7 and the movable valve 6 under said state, polarization is generated to the movable valve 6, and the movable valve 6 is attracted in an direction of the electrode 7. The ink drop discharge opening 4 is opened, and the pressurized ink is pushed out from the ink drop discharge opening 4. Thereafter, when electrification is stopped, the ink drop discharge opening 4 is closed, and an ink drop 6 is discharged from the ink drop discharge opening 4 by pressurizing force given to the ink and the pushing force when the movable valve 6 is closed. |
