PURPOSE:To easily realize a voice synthesizing device sounding like Japanese in the voice synthesizing device converting Japanese KANJI(Chinese character)/ KANA(Japanese syllabary) mixed sentences where English are mixed into voice. CONSTITUTION:An English Japanese voice information conversion rule 7 where the rules for generating the voice information and parts of speech information as Japanese from the voice information and parts of speech information as English are stored is added to a conventional voice synthesizing device, in addition to an English dictionary 6 where the parts of speech information for the notation of an English word and the voice information including at least readings and accent information are stored by making them a pair. By this constitution, even if the dictionary where the parts of speech information and voice information as Japanese for the notation of the English word are stored by making them a pair is not constructed, a voice synthesizing device converting Japanese KANJI/KANA mixed sentences where English are mixed into voice can be easily constructed by using an existing English dictionary. |
