PURPOSE:To produce a color liq. crystal display having a transparent conductive film excellent in flatness and highly adhesive to the substrate without generating a thickness decrease in the stepped region of a photosensitive overcoat film and a film breaking. CONSTITUTION:This production method consists of a process to form a color filter 5 on a substrate 6, a process to form a overcoat film 4 over the entire surface, a process to form the overcoat film 4 by using a photomask 1 with a light-shielding chromium film 2 on the open end changed in thickness stepwise, a process to perform a development and patterning the film 4, and a process to form a transparent conductive film. |
