PURPOSE:To provide a spindle motor in which metallic pure tone is not generated upon driving and a thin insulating sheet, interposed between the stator and the bracket, is not broken easily. CONSTITUTION:The spindle motor comprises a bracket 22 principally made of iron or aluminium, a hub 32 born rotatably on the inside of an annular erected part 24 formed integrally with the bracket 22, a stator 34 fixed on the outside of the annular erected part 24, and an insulating sheet 36 interposed between the stator 34 and the bracket 22. The hub 32 is made of brass and the insulating sheet 36 is bonded firmly to the bracket 22 by pouring an adhesive through holes made on the periphery of the sheet. |
