FRICTION ROCK STABILIZERS

This invention relates to a friction rock stabilizer which is made from a resilient metal tube which is of constant circular cross-sectional shape over a substantial portion of its length with the tube including a portion of its length which is outwardly flared to a larger cross-sectional dimension towards one end of the tube, a circumferential stop which projects radially outwardly from the flared end of the tube and a slot which extends through the stop and the tube over the entire length of the tube to enable the stop and the tube to be reduced in cross-section over the entire lengtll of the stabilizer by a reduction in the width of the slot.
