All shopping trolleys (E) in self-service market centres are equipped with a preprinted blank bill form. Each article has a doubly affixed detachable product code label. Before each article is loaded into the product space of the shopping trolley, the customer sticks the duplicate of the product code label to the blank bill form. By means of the identified product code, the electronic operative unit of the weighing-test till point (IP) makes the comparison between the test weight and the actual weight of the product assortment and its total product price. If the weighing test is positive, payment of the displayed purchase price is accepted. The weighing-test till point opens. The customer can wheel the unseparated product assortment in the shopping trolley directly to his private vehicle. <IMAGE>
