摘要 PURPOSE:To easily identify and monitor a light beam path by making light from a light source or variable wavelength light source of wide-band width incident from the upper side of a demultiplexing circuit, and identifying or monitoring it with reflection spectrum intensity. CONSTITUTION:A wide-band spectrum light source or variable wavelength light source 16 having a wavelength width within the reflecting waves of reflection components 10-15 is provided in a measuring instrument 2 in a central office 1, and detected light from the light source 16 is made incident on an optical fiber 19 via a light branch component 17, and is propagated, and is branched at a light branching circuit 3, and is sent to subscriber residences 4-9 via the reflection components 10-15 with wavelength dependency. The light reflected at respective wavelength is detected by a light branch component 17 via the light branching circuit 3 by an optical spectrum analyzer or optical power meter 18. For example, when the beam light path branched and connected to the subscriber residence 7 ruptures before the reflection component 15, the spectrum of wavelength of the reflection component 15 is disabled to measure by the optical spectrum analyzer 18. Thereafter, status at a remote place can be immediately recognized.
