PURPOSE:To inhibit the cracking of a protective layer and a reflecting layer and the mass transfer of a recording film even after repeated recording and erasing with laser light and to improve repetitive characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer 9 causing an optical change when irradiated with laser light is formed in fine recesses 13 in a glass disk substrate 1 and a GeTe film 10 whose reflectance is equal or close to that of the recording layer 9 is formed on the surface of the recording layer 9. The mass transfer of the recording film caused by making the recording film repeatedly crystalline and amorphous by irradiation with laser light is inhibited and the repetitive recording-erasing characteristics of the resulting optical recording medium are improved. |
