PURPOSE:To provide art EP cartridge capable of effectively maintaining the reliability of a printer equipment main body by preventing the reuse of a cartridge by means of a third party. CONSTITUTION:A developing roller 1, toner 10a replenished to the developing roller 1, a cartridge main body 10 housing these developing roller 1 and toner 10a are provided and moreover, a developing roller driving gear 1A for driving the developing roller is provided. On the cartridge main body 10, an electromagnetic brake 4 for the developing roller 1 is arranged side by side and further, a counter 11 counting/storing the number of the printed papers of the fed printing papers is equipped. The counter 11 is provided with an electromagnetic brake activating control function carried out after a previously set prescribed number of the printed papers are counted, to make the power source for the electromagnetic brake 4 a connecting state. |
