PURPOSE:To synthesize a video picture and a graphic picture obtained from a light beam tracking method through the use of cross information obtained in the processing process of the light beam tracking method. CONSTITUTION:A video signal inputted from a video picture signal input terminal 23 is stored in a picture memory 24. A graphic picture element generation part 21 generates cross information on picture element by luminance values for the respective picture elements of the graphic picture and a cross judgement processing with the light beam tracking method. A cross information flag bit 22 stores cross information. A write control circuit 26 controls a system so at the luminance values of the picture elements are written into the picture memory 24 when an object and a light beam cross, and nothing is written when they do not cross. Then, the synthesized picture of the graphic picture and the video picture is generated, and it is outputted from a synthesized picture signal output terminal 25. |
