The invention relates to automatic transmission mechanisms, for transport vehicles in particular. An epicyclic transmission mechanism consists of two supporting elements (14 & 15) in a common housing containing one complete set each of satellites (16 & 17) , at least one of them being elongated. Three gear rims (19, 21 & 22) and two to three crown gears (18 & 20) are meshed to the satellites (16 & 17). One of the supporting elements (14) is connected to the crown gear (20) meshed to the satellites (17) by the other supporting element and to the outgoing shaft (13). The ingoing shaft (12) is connected, by meshing elements, to the second supporting element (15) and at least one of the gear rims. It some of the alternative solution a crown gear is also connected to the ingoing shaft by means of a meshing element. The second supporting element and at least one of the gear rims, and in some of the alternatives also one of the crown gears are connected to controllable brakes. The family contains twelve representatives and twenty three alternatives. The representatives make from four to six gear in forward drive and one for rear drive, and some of them and their alternatives form two-flow modes of movement. Up to three one-flow mechanisms participate in the control system.
