METHOD FOR LAYING PLASTIC SUB-DUCT

PURPOSE:To easily bite a braiding grip into a rubber tape or soft plastic tape and to improve gripping force by applying the braided grip on the tape. CONSTITUTION:The low-density polyethylene (LDPE) tape 12 is longitudinally wound over a prescribed length on the outer periphery at the pulling end of the high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sub-duct 1. The braided grip 14 is then put thereon and pretension is previuosly applied thereon in the tensile direction to tighten the braided grip 14. The proper point is bound in this state with a steel wire 15. A wire 16 for withdrawal is finally mounted on the pulling end of the braided grip 14. After this operation is carried out with all of the HDPE sub-ducts 11 to be laid in a main duct, all the HDPE sub-ducts 11 are simultaneously withdrawn into the main duct by pulling the wires 16 with manpower or a winch.
