PURPOSE:To make a gas purge device in a housing container compact and to reduce cost by supplying part of combustion exhaust gas exhausted from a combustion chamber of a reformer into the housing container through an exhaust gas line. CONSTITUTION:During operation, part of combustion exhaust gas 9 is supplied into a housing container 22 through an exhaust gas line 51. The pressure for supplying is balanced with an anode gas 2 and a cathode gas 3 supplied to a fuel cell 20 to prevent the gas 2 and the gas 3 from leaking into the container 22. Part of combustion exhaust gas 9 supplied into the container 22 is supplied to a cathode as a gas 3 through a gas exhaust line, a three-way valve 53, and a cathode circulation line 21. A detector 54 continuously monitors a combustible gas, and if hydrogen gas in a gas 2 is detected, the valve 53 is switched and the gas in the container 22 is introduced into a combustion chamber Co in a reformer 10 to burn it. Safety is enhanced and a nitrogen purging line is eliminated, a compact system is realized, and cost is reduced. |
