PURPOSE:To shorten a tact time for supply of an electronic component by a method wherein a part cassette of one unit is moved to a suction position while the electronic component is sucked up from the part cassette of the other unit by disposing two systems of unit mechanisms which have the same component supply position by the part cassettes. CONSTITUTION:A rotary head 14 rotating intermittently moves nozzle units 11. When some nozzle unit 11 sucks up an electronic component 10 of a lower part cassette 22A at a component suction position 6, a sucking motion is not conducted at a component suction position 1 of an upper part cassette 20. In the case when the suction is not conducted at the component suction position 6, the sucking motion is conducted at the component suction position 1. A recognition processing for the electronic component 10 sucked up is executed at a component recognition position 2, and correction of an angle of the electronic component 10 and regulation of a sucking nozzle 11a are conducted at a nozzle rotation position 3. When the nozzle unit 11 rotates to a component installation position 4, a table 18 moves in X-Y directions and the sucking nozzle 11a lowers and install the electronic component 10 to a base 17.
