PURPOSE:To obtain a lead insertion equipment which is capable of easily inserting leads into a board independent of the change of a board and a lead in dimensions and shape without replacing an inserting piece or a positioning pin. CONSTITUTION:In a hybrid IC lead insertion equipment which inserts a lead 2 of a hybrid IC into a lead connection terminal 1A of a board 1, the position of the lead connection terminal 1A and the lead is measured, and the lead of a hybrid IC is aligned with the lead connection terminal 1A and then inserted into it. A position measuring equipment 9 is moved to points where the lead connection terminal 1A and the lead 2 are located so as to measure the position of them. A lead insertion operation is carried out through such a manner that the board 1 is fixed, and the lead 2 is moved to the position of the lead connection terminal 1A basing on the measurements. The lead 2 is fed through such a method that reels 13 wound with the lead 2 are mounted on a table 8, and the table 8 is moved to replace a reel with a new one through a single motion. |
