PURPOSE:To provide the optical pickup device of a three beam system which prevent crosstalk by noticing the behavior of carriers in a semiconductor substrate when light receiving parts are irradiated with a light beam. CONSTITUTION:This optical pickup device has a photodetector constituted by forming the light receiving part 2 for detecting a focusing error and the two light receiving parts 3 for detecting a tracking error provided on both sides of the light receiving part 2 for detecting the focusing error on the one semiconductor substrate 1. A shielding part 7 for preventing the crosstalks generated by photoexcitation is disposed between the light receiving part 2 for detecting the focusing error and the light receiving parts 3 for detecting the tracking error. This shielding part 7 may be formed by using the semiconductor substrate 1 itself. |
