<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to repair the pixel display defect occurring in interlayer shorting by irradiation with a laser by applying a simple modification to the electrode shape of a liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION:This liquid crystal display device has storage capacitance electrode 1 which is formed on transparent insulating substrate consisting of glass, etc., and is composed of branch parts 1A, 1B of which region crossing pixel electrode 3 is isolated by hole region 1C and the pixel electrode 3 which is laminated via gate insulating film on this storage capacitance electrode 1 and is narrowed in width by notched parts 3 formed at the end edges of the regions crossing the storage capacitance electrode 1 in order to permit irradiation with laser beam respectively separately for each of the branch parts 1A and 1B.</p> |
