ASSEMBLING TYPE CODING SYSTEM FOR AUDIO SIGNAL

摘要

PURPOSE: To especially provide a digital coding system having a built-in sub-code sing an analyzing technique by synthesis related with the coding system of a speech signal. CONSTITUTION: A possible exciting signal set is divided into plural sub-sets, and the first one contributes to a coded signal necessary for starting transmission at the minimum rate guaranteed in a network, and when the other generates the rate increase in the following step when it is added to that of the first sub-set. On the reception side, when the coded signal is accepted at the minimum rate, a decoded signal is generated only for the excitation contribution of the first sub-set, and the excitation contribution of the sub-set enabling such rate increase is also used for the rate higher than the minimum rate.
